Laurenz Lütteken, born in 1964, has been chair of musicology at the University of Zurich since 2001. Prior to that, he taught at the universities of Heidelberg, Münster, Erlangen and Marburg. He is the editor in chief of the encyclopedia MGG Online (since 2016) and has edited the Wagner Handbook (2nd ed., 2021). Most recent publications: Die Zauberflöte.
